Chase Community Giving is donating a total $5 million to nonprofits in a competition on Facebook!

Chase Community Giving has selected 500,000 nonprofits and charities to compete in two rounds of voting for a combined $5 million. Voting takes place on a Chase’s Facebook Application and users can vote for up to 20 nonprofits or charities (but only one vote per charity). To vote, all you need is a Facebook account and the application will walk you through the rest.




The first round ends at midnight on December 11th and the top 100 organizations with most votes will each receive $25,000 as well as advance to the second round. The second round of voting begins January 15 and ends January 22, and the top five organizations with the most votes will each be awarded an addition $100,000 (that’s a total of $125,000)! On top of the $25,000 from the first round and $100,000 from the second, the organization with the most votes at the end of it all will be awarded an addition $1 million! That’s a grand total of $1,125,000 awarded to the organization with the most votes!




The competition began on November 15, but Chase Community Giving did not inform any of the nonprofits or charities that it was taking place. Youth Venture just happened to stumble on the application by chance to learn that it is included in the pool of competing non-profits. While that means there are plenty of organizations that have yet to find out they are competing, it also means there are organizations that found out before us, so Youth Venture needs to take this opportunity to get as many votes as possible and a chance to win big.

• If you have a Facebook page or group, send the information out to your fans or members; and,
• If any of your non-profit partners are also in the competition (to find out, just search for it on the application’s homepage), ask them get people to vote for us and we will tell people to vote for them.
