When you go to college, wouldn't you like to arrive on campus poised to contribute in new ways, with proficiency in a new language and with a focus unmatched by your peers? Then maybe your should consider spending a year before college as a Global Citizen Year Fellow living and working in a developing country. Each year, Global Citizen Year (GCY) recruits and trains a corps of high school graduates and supports them through apprenticeships in Asia, Africa, and Latin America during a "bridge year" before college. GCY Fellows engage in communities around the world, learn a new language, and use their skills to make a difference.
