Stressed out? You're not alone!

This year's incoming freshman are the most stressed out class in decades, according to a new report. The survey, “The American Freshman: National Norms Fall 2010,” sampled more than 200,000 incoming full-time students at four-year colleges. It's well-regarded because it's been collecting such data for over 25 years. Survey authors found new students arriving to college campuses are more stressed, depressed, and medicated than ever before. And while the women surveyed have always reported lower emotional health scores than their male counterparts, the gap is widening -- suggesting that female college students are feeling particularly burdened.

The survey made me wonder what scores would look like if the same questions were asked of high school students. It seems like both in college and high school, ever-escalating levels of demands are placed on young people's time.

Running a Venture is incredibly rewarding and fulfilling, but can also be a source of stress at times as well. If you're feeling stressed, you've probably heard it all before -- take a deep breath, slow down, get enough sleep. I won't patronize - but I did love this list of 101 ways to cope with stress, which actually has some great ideas that aren't too hackneyed. Have any words of wisdom to share on how you manage your stress? Let me know!
