Today's post was written by Youth Venturer and current YV Intern Andrea Ruiz. What is thinking? Does school teach you how to think? How are changemakers the ultimate thinkers? Despite the simplicity of the question the answers can be quite complex. Being a changemaker and entrepreneur also implies that you are a unique thinker. Entrepreneurs are able to think outside of what already exists and find new solutions to old problems. A special research team at the Harvard School of Education has started a movement to introduce a school-wide culture of thinking. They work with students to develop patterns of mind that students can follow into the next level of thinking, a place where creativity and vision abound. Today teachers all around the country are including this in their teaching style. Ideally we can incorporate this thinking into our everyday experiences, ventures, academics, and so forth. How can you incorporate thinking in the extra mile?
