Today's post compiled by YV Intern Daniel Casey.
Given the increasing threats of coastal erosion and climate change, A Better World by Design (ABWxD) wants to know: How do you build a better coastline?
As part of their Better World Challenge, ABWxD is seeking to inspire young innovators and changemakers to help solve the coastline problem. They are looking for newfangled ideas that are sustainable and expand past current and traditional ways of thinking.
While building a better coastline is itself a top-notch incentive, ABWxD has included several prizes for the winner. The person who builds the best better coastline will receive $1,000 and an opportunity to work with Save the Bay in implementing their design. Additionally, the winner will be given a method to present their ideas to the entire Better World by Design community. Last, but not least, the winner will receive complimentary admission to ABWxD's three day conference coming up this September 30 - October 2nd, 2011.
This competition open to all students-- SO GET CRACKING!
Deadline: September 1, 2011.
