Today we are thrilled to launch the 5th annual Staples Youth Social Entrepreneur (YSE) competition. In partnership with Ashoka's Youth Venture, the competition seeks young changemakers who are using technology to create a positive impact in their community.
Youth between the ages of 12 and 24 who are using innovation and technology to drive improve their community are eligible to enter the competition. Four winning teams will receive a $500 cash prize and an all expenses paid trip to Techonomy, an elite conference held in Tucson, Arizona from November 13-15, 2011. Techonomy convenes thought leaders, innovators, and changemakers from the technology sector. Winners will meet outstanding tech sector influencers and be recognized for their work. A grand prize winner will be selected at the Techonomy conference through a public voting process.
