Each day 17 million youth go to bed hungry. Food insecurity is the highest it’s ever been since 1995. And 31.3 million children cannot afford lunch to sustain their school days.* The statistics are staggering, but it’s more than comforting to know that Venturers are hard at work to tackle the hunger crisis in America.
If you’re one of those food-fighting Ventures, this grant is for you. The Sodexo Foundation is offering five winning students each a $5,000 scholarship award and a matching $5,000 grant in their name for the hunger charity of their choice. Up to twenty more students will earn regional recognition and a $1,000 donation to a charity.
